October 9th, 2017, at 3:30 a.m. While at the Mall in Washington D.C. for "Awaken the Dawn," I was sitting on a park bench. The atmosphere was vibrant, with the praise and worship being released from over 50 tents spread throughout the mall. To my right was the capital of the United States' beautifully lit up, and to my left was the Washington monument. The sky was clear, and the air was crisp with a slight breeze. It was a picturesque night.

I was sitting on the park bench all alone when suddenly! To my right, three men were walking on the path in front of me. One of the men called out, "I have a word for you from the Lord!" Since it was 3:30 in the morning, and there were hardly any people walking around, I knew this was a set-up by God. I also knew because the Lord had spoken to me the day before and told me to worship and pray all night at the mall.

The prophets walked over to me. The one who initially said he had a word began to share with me in great detail about our move from Jacksonville to Orlando, Florida, earlier that year. Only God and I, at that moment, knew about the move and the detailed information this prophet was sharing with me.

Without going into all of the particulars, our transition brought betrayal and abandonment. I was going through a confusing time trying to understand what had happened and why, with no answers in sight. As this prophet spoke, I stood in complete shock and awe of God!

As David said in Psalms 34:4, "The Lord heard my cry. He answered me and delivered me from all my fears."

The prophets reassured me that God was aware of all that was going on, and he was the one who brought me out of where I use to be. They shared how I was in The Lord's will, obedient and faithful to what he had asked me to do, and that no matter what had been insinuated, I would fulfill God's calling for my life.

The initial prophet began to speak to me about where God had me now. He said the Lord was showing him Psalms 23.

The prophet said "The Lord is emphasizing, the verse, He makes me lie down in green pastures;" He said, "God is bringing you into a time where He is making you lie down in his green pastures; Where you are abiding in Him, and He is abiding in you." The prophet stressed to me that the Lord is doing this.

The prophet continued sharing how the green pasture that The Lord was causing me to lay down in is where the shepherd inhabits. It is His home!

The Prophet said, "The green pastures are life-giving, abundance, provision, and wholeness. The Lord has all the provision for the vision and finances needed for all He has asked you to do and be. You do not have to be concerned; you can rest in him."

What was so amazing to me was the Lord showed up in the middle of the night and revealed himself to me as my Shepherd through three prophets who did not know me. The Lord revealed that he knew everything that was taking place in my life, and I was not alone!

The words that were prophesied shifted me out of confusion and into clarity. They shinned the light on the path God had put me on. The Lord revealed where he had been leading me from and where he was leading me to.

The word of the Lord also shifted me out of fear into confidence. He gave me boldness and strength in him to walk out the journey he set before me. It was a night that will forever mark my life and be etched in my heart.

Those who are reading this article and are going through a tough time; My heart is that faith arises in you through my encounter. You may be in a night season like I was and seem to have no answers in sight; You may be stricken with fear, depression, and uncertainty. Through Jesus Christ, you have a shepherd who will lead and guide your life by his Holy Spirit.

The Lord has not given you a spirit of fear! He wants you to have clarity of mind and purpose. He wants you to have his love, power, peace, and joy.

Let me encourage you today; Father God knows everything that is going on in your life, family, job, finances, and relationships. We may be caught off guard at times, but He never is.

When we find ourselves in places of injustice, frustration, hopelessness, grief, disappointment, betrayal, abandonment, loss, and sickness; We serve a God whom we can cry out to. His word tells us, "The Lord is where our help comes from, and His arm is not to short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear." Isaiah 59:1, Psalms 121:4

We serve a God whose "Righteousness and Justice are the foundation of His Throne; Mercy and Truth go before His face." Psalms 89:14.

Though people will fail us and may lead us deceptively, God never will! Jesus said, "I will never leave you, nor will I ever forsake you." We must choose to put our lives wholeheartedly in God's hands and trust him as we release and forgive others.

As you call out to Jesus, you will begin to receive your answers. Depression and oppression will be broken, and your needed miracles will be released.

My Journey does not end here, and neither will yours. "Through the Lord's Mercies, we are not consumed because His compassion fails not! They are new every morning, and Great is His Faithfulness." Lam 3: 22-23.

Though God may or may not send three prophets your way, know that His love never fails, and He is always faithful to His word and to perform it. The Lord will choose the best avenue to release His words to help you overcome and rise in his victory!
